2015 was a banner year for the firm as we became known as Tidwell Group.
We could not be more excited to offer clients the talents that have joined forces to strengthen the firm in order to better serve clients. Our vision for the firm is value creation – providing unsurpassed, value-added, personalized service at reasonable fees. With roots dating back to 1997, the firm was founded by Barry Tidwell and is recognized by industry trade groups as one of the fastest growing firms in the country – culminating in a number one ranking in 2017. In 2006, when the firm had grown to six offices and approximately 135 professionals, Tidwell Group’s upward growth trend continued as it further grew its real estate and construction practices and ultimately merged with a national real estate accounting firm that is now a top ten U.S. accounting firm.
In 2009, with the economic downturn and real estate developers struggling and requiring a more hands on approach from their accountants, Barry Tidwell envisioned a better way to serve clients. Tidwell Group spun off from the national firm to re-form what is known today as Tidwell Group. In 2015, Tidwell had several of his former partners join him at Tidwell Group. The new firm was superbly received by the market. Why? With the firm’s partners bearing Big Four and national firm expertise, Tidwell Group offers its clients the expertise of a top ten firm but with a more efficient fee structure. By using a more hands-on approach with real estate developers and other clients and assisting them in navigating the difficulties with the economic downturn, the firm has continued its upward growth trajectory.
The firm continues to champion its mission of providing unsurpassed service and value creation to clients and to growing and developing future leaders of the firm. In 2017, Tidwell Group added our Columbus, Ohio office of 30 plus affordable housing professionals. The synergy gained from the combined knowledge and business insights of Tidwell Group’s partner base empowers clients and provides them with the experience, knowledge and expertise required to surpass their business goals.
Today, Tidwell Group is widely recognized as a national provider of audit, tax and consulting services to several industries across the country. Tidwell Group continues to pursue the mission of growing and protecting client interests.
