Jeanne-Marie Smith is a Partner at Tidwell Group with over 13 years of public accounting experience. Since 2011, Smith is primarily specialized in the real estate industry with an emphasis on low-income housing tax credit projects and HUD-assisted projects. She has provided audit services to residential real estate funds and property-level projects.
In addition to her real estate audit experience, Smith also has experience with real estate development engagements. She assists clients with Final Cost Certifications, 10% Tests, and a variety of Agreed-Upon Procedure reports in the affordable housing industry.
Smith’s responsibilities at Tidwell Group include planning, execution, and directly supervising audit engagements in the areas specified above. These duties include leading all aspects of audit and assurance engagements from planning and risk assessment to financial statement review and engagement wrap up.
Prior to her tenure at Tidwell Group, Smith was a senior audit associate with a large national accounting firm that specialized in real estate. Her responsibilities included leading fieldwork for audits and various agreed-upon procedure reports predominantly in the affordable housing industry.
