Todd Fentress is the Managing Partner at Tidwell Group’s Columbus office. He has over 30 years of experience in the affordable housing industry, with both audit and tax expertise, which allows him to strategically create approaches to meet his clients’ needs and goals. Fentress counsels an assortment of clients, including privately held and small business owners, affordable housing developers, property owners, non-profit organizations, and investors. These clients have developed some of the most significant affordable housing communities in the Midwest. His client service style ensures the needs and goals of the client are met in a cost-effective, timely, and efficient manner.
Fentress is also highly experienced in consulting on federal and state government-sponsored or assisted programs and structures for syndicated partnerships where the property is eligible for low-income housing, historic and renewable energy credits at the federal and state level. He has gained tremendous insights through building relationships with lenders, attorneys, and developers across the country, which allows him to be an asset when creating exit strategies and redevelopment opportunities for our clients.
Fentress understands the importance of staying up to date on legislative and technical developments that will impact the industry, so he remains extremely active in various real estate-related organizations. He currently serves on advisory boards and as a board member in many housing organizations and frequently speaks on various housing and real estate topics at industry events. Todd is also a member of the AICPA, Ohio Society of CPAs, and holds a B.A. from Capital University.
