IRS Extends Federal Tax Filing Deadline to July 15

Steven Mnuchin, Secretary of the Treasury,  announced today that the federal tax filing deadline for all taxpayers and businesses would move from April 15 to July 15, without interest or penalties. This filing extension was announced after Notice 2020-17 extended the April 15 tax payment deadline to July 15, up to specific thresholds.
