Senator Denny Hoskins, CPA, has joined Tidwell Group, an INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA) Best of the Best Firm for 2020, as a Consulting Manager. With over 22 years of accounting experience, he will be a tremendous asset to the firm’s leadership team in the Birmingham office while working remotely in Warrensburg, Missouri.
Denny is a Missouri State Senator representing the 21st District of Caldwell, Carroll, Howard, Johnson, Lafayette, Livingston, Ray, and Saline counties of Missouri. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Industry. Alongside his legislative duties, he is a certified public accountant in Missouri specializing in audits, tax, and consulting with small businesses. Denny is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Missouri Society of CPAs, the Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce, and Warrensburg Rotary.
Denny earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Accounting from Central Missouri State University. Upon graduating, Denny served in the Missouri National Guard and was honorably discharged in 2000. As a veteran, he is passionate about strong protections and incentives for military veterans. Denny is also passionate about protections for small businesses and taxpayers.
Denny has received numerous awards during his time as a legislator, including the Spirit of Enterprise Award from the Missouri Chamber of Commerce, Multiple Sclerosis Society Legislator of the Year, County Advocate Award from the Missouri Association of Counties, American Legion & VFW Legislator of the Year, Missouri Arts Council Legislator of the Year, and the Friend of Agriculture award from Missouri Farm Bureau.
Away from the office, Denny is an active participant in Warrensburg’s community through his passion for coaching local youth sports. His other favorite hobbies include fishing, hunting, golfing, basketball, softball, and spending time with his wife and children.
