Justin Heberling is a Consulting Partner in Tidwell Group’s Birmingham office. He has over 18 years of public accounting experience with a specialized focus in the affordable housing industry. His background includes over 11 years of auditing entities that own affordable housing projects, as well as extensive experience working with real estate developers in deal structuring and finance modeling. He frequently assists with navigating complex government leveraged financing programs including low-income housing tax credits, Rural Development projects, HUD assisted projects and Community Development Block Grants.
Heberling is a licensed CPA in Alabama and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Alabama Society of CPAs. He currently serves as Treasurer and is on the Scholarship Committee of the Alabama Affordable Housing Association, Inc., and is an active member of the Phoenix Club of Birmingham which supports the mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Central Alabama and provides developmental opportunities for young professionals in the community. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Samford University.
